The Story Behind Grace & Stone
Grace & Stone Creative began the way the best things often do — quietly, and with a lot of love.
I’m Heather, and I’m based in beautiful Queensland, Australia. For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to natural gemstones — not just for their beauty, but for the way they feel in your hand, the depth of their colours, and the quiet energy they seem to carry. I even have my own tumbler at home, polishing rough stones and watching their beauty slowly reveal itself. For me, gemstones aren’t just materials — they’re little pieces of the natural world, each one with its own quiet personality.
The real spark for Grace & Stone Creative came from a very personal place. I wanted to buy beautiful gemstones and Pandora trinkets for my granddaughter, Ella. But as I looked for the perfect gifts, a thought took hold: Why don’t I just make them for her myself?
What started as a desire to create something unique for Ella quickly reawakened my deep, lifelong love for gemstones, and grew into something I couldn’t ignore. I found myself drawn to the colours, textures, and quiet symbolism of each stone — the way amethyst carries a sense of calm, the way labradorite seems to hold light from within, the way rose quartz feels like kindness made tangible.
One piece led to another, and before long Grace & Stone Creative was born.
Every piece I make is handcrafted individually — just me, the stones, and a lot of intention. I personally select every gemstone for its beauty and character, which means no two pieces are ever exactly alike. When you wear Grace & Stone, you’re wearing something that was made once, just for you.
I believe jewellery should feel meaningful. Not just beautiful to look at, but connected to something deeper — a reminder of your own strength, calm, or joy, depending on the day.
My love for gemstones goes beyond the workbench. I’m drawn to them in every form — their colours, their textures, the way a freshly tumbled stone catches the light. That same wonder and appreciation goes into every single piece I create.
